Welcome to the Midl Vibecoding Contest. This isn’t your standard, sweaty hackathon, this is a playground. We are inviting you to explore just how fast, simple, and fun it is to build powerful dApps on Bitcoin using Midl. Building on Bitcoin used to be hard. Not anymore.
As we are racing toward the Midl Mainnet launch, more and more builders are joining our future ecosystem of dApps. There has never been a better time to get in on the ground floor. Whether you are a seasoned Solidity dev or an AI-prompting wizard, we want you to see for yourself: Midl makes Bitcoin programmable.
Your mission? Vibe code. Take a raw idea, use AI to speed-run the development, and run a working concept on Bitcoin’s Midl regtest network, not months. The contest is sponsored by Midl’s partner Xverse, the leading Bitcoin ecosystem wallet. Xverse throws in some extra Xverse products credits and mentorship to encourage our vibecoders!

The Mission
Go from "What if?" to "Transaction Confirmed."
We want you to experience the friction-free power of the Midl infrastructure. You’ll see that if you know how to prompt or write Solidity, you already know how to build on Bitcoin. This is explicitly a vibe coding event. You are free to use any AI model to build.
Note that this contest will also act as a qualifier for the upcoming building tournament that will kick off alongside our Mainnet deployment. We aren't looking for slide decks or whitepapers. We are looking for builders.
You are required to build a proof-of-concept that works from end-to-end.
Idea: You come up with a concept (DeFi, Gaming, Social, NFT, or something totally new).
Build: You build it on Midl testnet and the stack of your choice.
Prove: A user can open your app, do something meaningful, and see the result on-chain.
Make it Pop: We are raising the bar on visuals. No default, lifeless AI-generated UIs.
The Vibe: Your app should feel like a product.
The Tools: Use design-to-code workflows (like Google Stitch, claude’s frontend-design skill, etc.) to create an interface that is intentionally designed and fun to use.
The Requirements (How to Qualify)
To secure your spot and prove your mastery of vibecoding, your submission must hit these seven marks:
A proper front end that demonstrates your skills with AI design
Xverse Wallet: The dApps lets user connect to the network with Xverse wallet.
A user flow: A user triggers an action in your UI.
Logic: That action interacts with the Midl infrastructure (RPC/SDK) and executes logic via a Solidity Smart Contract.
Proof: The result is verifiable on-chain via a transaction hash.
Feedback: The UI updates to reflect the new state.
Required Deliverables
Deployment of the dApp is not required, as long as you can prove it runs as expected locally.
To prove so, we will require that you publicly post about your submission, and share it to us together with with:
A video demo of the dApp where you show the full loop: Quick app presentation and run down, Wallet connection, User Action, Wallet Sign & confirmation, UI Update.
Transaction Proof: links to your deployed contracts and successful transactions on Bitcoin and the Midl Regtest network
Code: A link to your repo containing the vibecoded dapp, or a video where you run through the code to show the main architecture and files.
A link to your public post.
Evaluation: The Vibe Check
The evaluation happens in two phases to maximize visibility for your work.
Phase 1: Community Voting
We believe in building in public. Once your submission is ready, make a public post on X to present your entry the best you can.
Public participation will be listed in our Discord’s dedicated section as they are transmitted to us and verified.
A public vote will then be organized at the end of the submission period to shortlist the 5 most voted entries.
Phase 2: The Council
The shortlist of 5 public winners goes to our panel of judges, respected leaders and builders in the ecosystem. They will look for:
Technical Execution: Does the Solidity contract do what it says?
Midl Mastery: Is the integration real and robust?
Product Feel: Is it a cool concept?

The cash prizes
All 5 dApps selected by the public win their creators $200 of Claude credits!
The final grand winner of the competition gets to take home the prize of $1000 in BTC.
